Coast to Coast Creators Blog Hop - Stampin' Up!®'s 2023-2024 Annual Catalogue

Fourteen of the month so you know what that means! It's team blog and Insta hop day! This month we are showcasing the 2023-2024 Annual Catalogue from Stampin' Up!®.

I decided to go with a simple stamp set that spoke to the nerdy science lover in me - It's A Science. This set has so many fun play on words and images, I'm just getting started!

I saw a design similar to this on Pinterest (Stuff and Spice) using a different stamp set and I knew I wanted to give it a try with Stampin' Up!®'s amazing products.

I started with stamping the atom image on Basic Black cardstock using Versmark and then heat embossing with white embossing powder for an old school chalkboard feel. Thanks to Lou Kitzelman for sharing this idea. For a pop of colour, I used a piece of the Masterfully Made DSP. In order for my little science lab scene to stand out, I did have to add a layer of vellum.

My beakers were stamped on watercolour paper with Staz On and then I used my water painters with Azure Afternoon and Crushed Curry Inks. The little die cuts to mimic a drop of liquid and an explosion come from the Sentiment Silhouettes dies (Charming Sentiments bundle) and I watercoloured those as well.

There is an adorable bubbles image in the set which I used on the inside of the card, but for the card front, I used the 2022-2024 In Colours Pearls in Tahitian Tide and Parakeet Party.

The large Happy Birthday die cut comes from the Wanted to Say stand alone dies. I used Tahitian Tide and Parakeet Party here again with the top layer using the 2022-2024 In Colour Textured Specialty Paper.

As mentioned, of course I had to add the fun coordinating sentiment inside the card. I stamped this in Tahitian Tide then masked it out so I could stamp the bubbles around it in both Lemon Lolly and Parakeet Party.

I'm super pleased with the final result and will definitely be sending this to another one of my science loving friends when it's time to celebrate them.

I can't wait to see what products everyone else chose to showcase. Be sure to hop around and check them all out!
