Stampin' Up!'s® Sale-a-bration - Crafty Collaborations Blog Hop

This is hop #1 of 2 that I will be doing this month featuring all things Sale-a-bration.  It's so exciting that Stampin' Up!® has gone with a twice yearly format.  So many great freebies to choose from and a great joining special too.

I decided to showcase one of the non-seasonal items in the Sale-a-bration flyer as it is definitely one of my favourites. Delicate Dahlias is an AMAZING two step distINKtive stamp set that you can earn with a purchase of $120 or more.

I have many of these Fresh Freesia die cuts sitting on my desk leftover from an earlier swap so that was my jumping off point for this card.

I love how our 3 purples look together and decided to work with that colour scheme. I stamped the base image in Highland Heather on Fresh Freesia card stock and the outline image in Gorgeous Grape. I also applied Wink of Stella to the Highland Heather.

Looking at my colour coach, both Soft Sea Foam and Granny Apple Green are coordinating colours and were used for the two step leaf image.

Given that I choose the sympathy sentiment, I wanted to keep this design quite simple and understated. I also wanted to try to stay true to the Sale-a-bration theme.  So instead of any DSP, I stamped the smaller image over and over across one side of the card.  I stamped the base image in Fresh Freesia with the outline in Highland Heather.

The only other addition to the card front was 3 of the Purple Posy resin dots from the Annual Catty. I also stamped a few of the small flowers inside the card.

You won't regret choosing this beautiful stamp set as a Sale-a-bration freebie when placing an order of $120 or more in August or September.
