As we are unable to spend the holidays with my parents as a result of the flooding that hit our province last month, I had to do all my mom's shopping for kiddo. She wanted to give him some money for his bank account so of course I needed to make a super cute card holder for it!
I mean, come on.... how cute is this?! Unfortunately the DSP that I chose is no longer available as it was a Saleabration freebie from Stampin' Up!® earlier this fall but it's so cute that I had to use it!
I found this layout and design on Pinterest from Peanuts and Peppers Papercrafting. It is so simple to make and took about 10 minutes start to finish.
- Cut your cardstock 7 x 7 1/4" and score it on the long side at 2 1/4" & 5 1/4".
- Cut your mat cardstock x 3 pieces measuring 2 x 6 3/4".
- Cut your DSP x 2 pieces measuring 1 3/4 x 6 1/2". Also cut 1 piece of Basic White this size.
- Stamp on Basic White as desired.
- Use Tear & Tape to close the flap to hold the money (as shown).
- Cut cardstock 1 1/2" x 6 1/2" for the belly band and decorate as desired.
I used two stamp sets for my greeting: A Grand Kid as well as the stamp set that came with the November Paper Pumpkin kit.
If you need a money holding card, give it a try!
