Gillybean Crafting : Coast to Coast Creators Hop: Gratitude

Fourteen of the month so you know what that means! It's team blog and Insta hop day! This month we are sharing projects created around the idea of Gratitude as we have just celebrate Thanksgiving in Canada.

I went down to my craft room with the inspiration to use two of the preorder items from the November Online exclusives release. I had recently received both the Gold Twisted Thread and the Brushed Silver and Gold Specialty Foil.

I then remembered I had saved a design I'd seen on Instagram with a circle and some gold. Thanks to @vickiboucher for furthering my inspiration and leading me to grab my Brushed Gold Cards and Envelopes.

Next I added the idea of this beautiful Grateful script for the Iconic Imagery stamp set. I had the black die cut circle on my desk and decided that would look striking with the gold and so out came the white embossing powder. I layered this on the brushed gold specialty paper also die cut with the Spotlight On Nature dies.

After that I knew I wanted to keep it really simple and just looked through my sets for a couple of stunning dies to tuck behind the circles. I used both Thoughtful Wishes Dies as well as Flowers of Beauty Dies to layer behind the focal point. I cut the dies in multiple pieces so that I could layer them with the bits I wanted showing and avoid having the majority of the die hidden behind the circles.

Last but not least was the addition of a smattering of gold gems from the Adhesive-Backed Metallic Gems. I'm really smitten with the final look and will make a few more to use up the rest of my Brushed Gold Cards.
