Coast to Coast Creators Blog Hop - Image Inspiration
Fourteen of the month so you know what that means! It's team blog and Insta hop day! This month we have an amazing image for inspiration.
Here is my design:
And here is the inspiration:
My first bit of inspiration came from the colours going across the beach to the surf.
I used these for my colour blending. They reminded me of Pretty in Pink, Peach Pie and Summer Splash.
The other bit I took from image was the deep blue of the sky.
I chose to use Night of Navy for my sentiment as well as the addition of the beautiful Night of Navy and Gold ribbon that carried over from last year's holiday mini.
There's nothing too difficult about this card which makes it quick to come together and easy to reproduce using different bundles or DSP. And don't forget to die cut from your mat layers! I have been doing this consistently lately. For this card, it allowed me to die cut one of the bits I needed but for other cards, I have just been randomly die cutting circles, rectangles or other label shapes to have on hand to stamp sentiments on.
I can't wait to see what everyone else comes up with. Be sure to hop around and check them all out!

Fourteen of the month so you know what that means! It's team blog and Insta hop day! This month we are highlighting some of the sketches Stampin' Up!® has showcased in the annual catalogue on page 22.
The four sketches we had to work from were these. I really meant to choose a different one than I did as I have worked with this one before but I seem drawn to it! I took a a couple liberties with the dimension of my DSP layer and the layer I put behind it but otherwise I feel like I stayed pretty true to the sketch.
I was inspired by a card I had seen using Navy and bright colours and the Simply Sparkling Bundle. I couldn't figure out a way to work the images from that bundle into the design but the Best Ever sentiment is a single stamp from that bundle which I liked paired with several of the dies from the Friends for Life dies. I stamped it twice on two squares cut with the Perennial Postage Dies.
Last, but not least, I want to share this tip when you are layering with large pieces of cardstock (or DSP). Use one large die, or several small ones, to cut from the middle to have pieces to use for other products.
I can't wait to see what everyone else comes up with. Be sure to hop around and check them all out!
