Fourteen of the month so you know what that means! It's team blog and Insta hop day! This month we are highlighting some of the sketches Stampin' Up!® has showcased in the annual catalogue on page 22.

The four sketches we had to work from were these. I really meant to choose a different one than I did as I have worked with this one before but I seem drawn to it! I took a a couple liberties with the dimension of my DSP layer and the layer I put behind it but otherwise I feel like I stayed pretty true to the sketch.

I was inspired by a card I had seen using Navy and bright colours and the Simply Sparkling Bundle. I couldn't figure out a way to work the images from that bundle into the design but the Best Ever sentiment is a single stamp from that bundle which I liked paired with several of the dies from the Friends for Life dies. I stamped it twice on two squares cut with the Perennial Postage Dies.

In addition to using the Full of Life DSP for the main focal piece, I die cut the heart border, friend and the swoosh from bits of the DSP as well. I also added a strip to the interior of the card.

Last, but not least, I want to share this tip when you are layering with large pieces of cardstock (or DSP). Use one large die, or several small ones, to cut from the middle to have pieces to use for other products.

I can't wait to see what everyone else comes up with. Be sure to hop around and check them all out!

NEW Products from Stampin' Up! Launching Online July 3rd - Iconic Imagery

Playing with some NEW products that are launching exclusively online tomorrow.

Iconic Imagery is a great set for someone who wants a taste of everything - autumn, Christmas, Valentine's/Love and celebrations.

I'm excited that it allows me to make autumn themed cards as I don't ever buy a set for that time of year.

I CASE'd this design from one of the samples in the promotional material.  Aside from switching out Basic White for Very Vanilla and the patterned paper on the big die cut, it is essentially a straight copy.  It was so beautiful just as it was!

All the details are in the video! These products will be available to purchase tomorrow so I can't link them on here yet.

Coast to Coast Creators Blog Hop - Showcase the Annual Catty

Fourteen of the month so you know what that means! It's team blog and Insta hop day! This month we are showcasing Stampin' Up!®'s NEW 2024-2025 Annual Catty!

This hop theme couldn't have come at a better time as Stampin' Up!® is currently offering an additional 10% off all bundles in the catty! That's 20% off for the entire month of June!

I'm actually showcasing TWO bundles here that are featured in the catty as part of a super suite collection (Unbounded Beauty).  The Flowers of Beauty bundle and the Unbounded Love bundle.

This might be the first time I have ever bought BOTH bundles featured together in a suite collection but I knew I couldn't have one without the other and I don't regret my purchase for a second!

I'm short on time right now so I went to page 22 of the catalogue and found me a sketch to use. I drew some inspiration from page XX where these two bundles are featured.

This is such a fun feature of this year's catty and I have been meaning to start reproducing these sketches as I work with the products.  Can you find which sketch I used?

This card is probably simpler that something I would have created had I been left to my own devices but I'm really loving it! I love the idea/look of the two die cut shapes in Basic White as a way to feature the die cuts and separate them from the DSP.  A neat idea as I often just throw down a circle or some vellum.

I spent more time playing with the NEW in-colours as I love them! Petunia Pop is the primary colour here with Peach Pie and Pretty in Pink added in with the die cuts and embellishments.

I went with the shimmer version of the in-colour gems over the resin dots, they are just a little paler and I liked that look for this design.

I took a length of the ribbon and cut it in half to then make this fancy double loop bow that I recently learned how to do.

I can't wait to see what everyone else comes up with. Be sure to hop around and check them all out!

Coast to Coast Creators Blog Hop - 2024-2026 NEW In Colours

Fourteen of the month so you know what that means! It's team blog and Insta hop day! This month we are highlighting Stampin' Up!®'s NEW 2024-2026 In Colours!

I'll fully admit I was initially disappointed thinking they were too close to other colours we have had in the past BUT now that I have been creating with them I am in LOVE! The colours are fantastic on their own but what I love most is how ALL FIVE of them look so great together! And what about how they POP off of the black cardstock! Talk about a statement!

I CASEd this design straight out of the catalogue on the page 91. It was this idea of fussy cutting and floating the pieces from the Leaf Collection background stamp that made me purchase it as part of my preorder.

It's such a neat idea and a great way to get creative with this large stamp.

I ran the Petunia Pop card base through the So Swirly Embossing Folder for an extra bit of interest.

The greeting is from the super cute Attention Shoppers stamp set. And like the original, I had to showcase the amazing new Spotlight On Nature Dies. If you love a good circle die, these are a MUST for you!

I layered once die cut over another so that you would see a pop of the Petunia colour underneath the white.

I haven't decided which of the five new colours is my favourite so I'd sure love to hear which one is yours!

I can't wait to see what everyone else comes up with. Be sure to hop around and check them all out!

Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge #437

These zinnias were not on my list but after working with them a few weekends ago, the bundle and embossing folder are in my cart 🛒!

Great news is there are an online exclusive product so they are available now for everyone!

How great is this sketch?! It is the weekly challenge from Hand Stamped Sentiments!

If you love a good flower and like to colour, you’ll want to grab them!

I coloured these images with my Stampin' Blends markers but I've seen beautiful versions with watercolour pencils as well or a combination of the two!
