Happy Easter with Stampin' Up!'s Arrange a Wreath Bundle

I saw a sketch today and though it would be a perfect layout for some Easter Eggs!  Now I don't need an Easter card that I can think of but that never really matters when you are a card maker.

The sketch was courtesy of The Crafty Medic and I've shared it here if you want to give it a try yourself. You can see I took some liberties by not using exact circles but that is the beauty of sketches - to interpret them as you see fit!
So when I decided I wanted to do Easter Eggs, out came the Arrange a Wreath Bundle which includes a two egg stamp and a die that cuts them bout out together.

Now of course I wanted to stick with Easter type colours but I also originally wanted to focus on some of the 2019-2021 In Colours which are soon to retire.  I chose Purple Posy, Seaside Spray and Terracotta Tile.

I also used Pool Party, So Saffron, Soft Seafoam and Blushing Bride. Aside from the Purple Posy, I stamped all of the eggs on Basic White Cardstock. As we don't have Purple Posy ink, I stamped Highland Heather Ink on Purple Posy Cardstock.

I did consider backing all of the pairs of eggs on small circles, true to the sketch, but I just didn't love how that looked. I liked the idea that the eggs were the circles. But they needed something to fill out the space a bit more.

So..... I die cut out the wreath in Pear Pizzazz card stock and then cut it into smaller pieces to layer behind each set of eggs.

For the greeting, I stamped the crate image in 2nd generation (stamped off) Smoky Slate. I then stamped the Happy Easter on an angle overtop using Flirty Flamingo.  This was then die cut with a Stitched Rectangle Die - it's not a perfect fit, but pretty close. And because most cards are better off with some bling, I added a few of the Basic Rhinestones.

The whole thing is then on a 5-1/4" x 4" piece of the Playing with Patterns DSP in Purple Posy.

I'm really pleased with how this card came together. Give the sketch a try, I'd love to see what you come up with!
