TGIF Sketch Challenge (#tgifc285)

I spent the weekend creating with the Whiskey Business stamp set and fun twists on holiday cards.  The current TGIF Challenge was the perfect inspiration for one of the ideas I had swirling in my head.

I knew I wanted to combine the glasses in a 'Cheers' motion so this super sketch gave me all the other elements to quickly pull this card together. I decided I wanted to include the Red Foil Sheets to create the scalloped edges. I used a die from the Stitched Be Mine dies to easily create those. I thought a plaid DSP would match the mood of this card and this pattern comes from the 'Tis the Season DSP.

I grounded the rest of the card by drawing out the black in the DSP and used some other dies and the Subtles Embossing Folder to get my desired effect.  To get my unique greeting, I took a greeting from the Whiskey Business stamp set and paired it with the word Christmas which was from one of the greeting stamps in the Sweetest Time stamp set.

Last but not least, is those beautiful amber filled highball glasses.  If you're wondering how to achieve that look, you just need to colour with your Stampin' Blends markers.  I used the Cinnamon Cider duo as well as Dark Mango Melody.  I also added some Light Balmy Blue to the glass itself.  There are many colour combos out there though so if you're interested just searched up Pinterest or Google with the stamp set name.

  1. I saw your cards on the demonstrator planning place and I just had to comment on how creatively you used the set. I love the cards!
