West Coast Creators Blog Hop (May 2020) - Last Chance Product Showcase

So excited for this the first, and hopefully first of many, West Coast Creators Blog Hop!!! And as luck would have it, I had already been busy creating cards to showcase (and let's be honest, use up) my retiring consumables like paper, ribbon, etc.

This is one of three cards I came up with recently for the make-n-takes for the attendees at my virtual Bingo event. I absolutely LOVE how this card turned out! And of the best things about this design, is that it is a great way to both use up and showcase the amazing DSP, ribbons and embellishments that Stampin' Up!® has to offer.

This card starts with your standard card base of 4.25 x 5.5" remembering that if you want to tie ribbon around your card front you need to cut your cardstock lengthwise at 4.25 x 11".  To create the layers, you will add 3 strips of DSP, evenly spaced, to a layer of cardstock that is 4 x 5.25".  I cut the DSP strips at 1.25 x 5 1/8".

In order to make the pearlized doily stand out against the mainly white DSP, I layered a circle of the Petal Pink Perennial Essence Vellum behind it. I used the 2.25" circle punch.

I used the Label Me Pretty stamp set  and coordinating punch, both of which are sadly retiring. As an extra layer to the punched image, I punched again using the Old Olive Perennial Essence Vellum, cut in half and layered behind.  I wanted a slightly more muted shade of green though so I used the showed the backside of the vellum instead.

Last but not least, I fussy cut out one of the many bird images on the DSP  and added some of the Gray Granite ribbon to finish it off!
