May The Force Be With You - BB8 card

My son was invited to a Star Wars themed 7th birthday so I needed to get creative with my Stampin' Up supplies and a Pinterest search.  This version of BB8 is based loosely on a pin from April Rain Cards and images from Google.

You may have noticed a few retired items (black rhinestones, the vellum) and the words are from a robot set I picked up years ago at a scrapbook store.

I was super pleased how this turned out and it really wasn't that hard.  The body is a 2" circle and the head was a 1.5" circle that I punched out so that the bottom edge wasn't rounded.  The Pumpkin Pie circles on the body are a small circle punched first (7/8" ) followed by a larger circle (1.25") around the first circle to get the ring.  The Basic Gray shapes inside of the circles are star shapes from the Starlight Thinlits. Then I just cut them up to make them look different. All the head bits are just scraps of cardstock cut to match the image I was copying. I used the balloon punch with silver glimmer paper and the new silver baker's twine.
