Gillybean Crafting : Keeping it Simple with Stampin' Up!®s Friendly Gnomes

Happy New Year! It's been a HOT minute since I've participated in a creative challenge but I'm aiming to increase my creative content in 2023 so let's jump right in!

I'm starting of with the TGIF Challenge (#401) calling for simplicity.

To keep this design simple, I started with one of the Enjoy the Adventure Memories & More cards as my base. Now these card bases are actually 4 1/4" x 6 1/4" so I did trim it down to a standard card base of 5 1/2".

Next I did some tone on tone stamping to create a background fitting the theme. I use this series of hearts stamp which is from the Celebrate with Tags stamp set that is carrying over from the July - December mini.

I stamped this adorable gnome (so not my normal stamp set choice) in Memento on Very Vanilla. I then added Flirty Flamingo ink surrounding it, using a blending brush (& masking paper to cover the gnome). This is then die cut with the NEW Something Fancy dies. I added a hole with my hole punch to add in some of the Gold & Vanilla satin-edged ribbon (also carrying over from the holiday mini).

This little guy was so fun to colour with my Stampin' Blends, I can't wait to stamp and colour some more!

Last but not least was the greeting, which I stamped in both Soft Succulent & Evening Evergreen (sniff, these colours are retiring in 4 months) and a bit of fussy cutting.
