I admit that I do not do enough simple stamping. I always look at my simple stamping designs and think they are missing something. And maybe it's just that I love to layer, or add ribbon, or add bling. Either way, this weeks TGIF creative challenge inspired me to keep it simple.
I love how this turned out, after picturing it in my mind but I also know that I plan to make at least one, if not, two other versions of it stepping it up and adding some dimension!
I used the Artfully Layered stamp set for the images and the Happy & Heartfelt stamps for the greeting.
I stamped the repeating leaf outline in Pale Papaya. To avoid any overlap, I stamped the image once on some scrap, quickly cut it out and then used it to mask the other images. I stamped the leaf image using 2nd generation Soft Succulent.
Because I had the Soft Succulent on the edge, I went with it as a complimentary card base colour. I also went over the Pale Papaya images with my Wink of Stella (which is hard to see here).
Drop a comment, I'd love to know what you think.
