Stampin' Up!'s® Sale-a-bration Products - West Coast Creators Blog Hop (August 2021)

It's the 14th of the month again and this time my crafty friends and I are featuring projects made with one, or more, of the current Sale-a-bration offerings from Stampin' Up!®

I chose to focus on the Penguin Playmates 12" x 12" DSP. And even though it coordinates with the NEW Penguin Place Bundle, I used the DSP exclusively to showcase what can be done with fabulous paper and some fussy cutting!

This DSP is beyond adorable with so many amazing patterns and lots of great images to fussy cut.  However, sometime busy DSP can be overwhelming to work with.  My favourite solution to that is to cut it into strips! This is one of my go-to favourite sketches.  I did choose to keep with the same side of the DSP for my 3 strips but it is also fun to have 2 or 3 different strips as the background.

This polar bear is nice and big to use as a focal image (which also made him easy to fussy cut).  I also cut out a few of these adorable trees to place behind. him. I kept with the same colour theme for the circles behind him (Soft Sea Foam, Shaded Spruce) and did a bit of embossing

Now of course, I had to add a greeting which did require me to add in a stamp set and so I did use the Penguin Place stamp set for that. And what is a card without some ribbon and some bling?! I used the gorgeous Just Jade & Gold Braided Ribbon and the Holiday Rhinestones in Shaded Spruce (which is in the DSP)

Sketch Dimensions:

DSP strips: 1" x 4.25" matted by 3.25" x 4.5"
