What great timing for this blog hop! I recently created 5 projects for a team meeting all using the Tidings of Christmas Suite of products.
I have created 3 cards, 2 tags and 1 3D project with these products and today I will be sharing details on one card and the 3D project.
I knew I wanted to make some sort of template with the star die and use my blending brushes to create a patterned strip of sorts on the card front. I took a 3" x 6" strip of white cardboard from a DSP package and die cut the detailed star in the centre of it to use as my mask. I then used washi tape to create a 1 1/2" area as shown. I first lightly blended So Saffron ink over the entire area. I then randomly placed my stencil and blended a much deeper shade of So Saffron.
Originally, I was not going to have the layers of die cut stars but I blended outside of my washi tape and had to cover it up! I used the open die star in both Very Vanilla and Poppy Parade. I used Gold Foil (backed with adhesive sheet) for the small detailed star die.
The greeting was then inked with Versamark and heat embossed with Gold Powder. Final accents are some gold metallic pearls as well as the soon to be returning Wonderful Gems.
For the 3D project, I created an ornament. I first die cut the large open star using Window Sheet which I used as my base for the detailed layers. I die cut 3 layers of regular Poppy Parade cardstock and 1 layer of Ombre Specialty Paper in Poppy Parade. All detailed layers had the adhesive sheet on the back prior to die cutting.

I looped the linen thread into the first layer and stick it down before layering the remaining cardstock and then the Ombre layer.
