The Last of My Myths and Magic Display Cards

I was honoured to be asked to demonstrate and showcase the Myths and Magic Suite at an event run this past weekend by my wonderful upline Angela McKay (North Shore Stamper) and another amazing top Canadian demonstrator Alison Solven.

I have already posted many of the cards I was displaying in previous blog posts so these are the last two cards and a 3D project as well.  The technique I was showcasing was using the washi tape to create a mask (blog post dated: )

This first card involved using the washi tape to mask out the waves.  I did this on Shimmery White paper cut out with the Lots of Labels Framelits. I then used my aquapainter and three inks: Bermuda Bay, Dapper Denim and Pool Party.  I framed this with DSP from the Myths and Magic Suite also cut with the Lots of Labels Framelits. The seaweed is cut with the Magical Mates Framelits using the Myths and Magic Glimmer Paper.  I fussy cut the mermaids from the DSP and used the Seaside Embossing Folder on the Pool Party Cardstock.  To finish it off, I use the Celebrate You Thinlits to cut out the amazing and stamped the You Are from the Magical Day stamp set and then cut it out.

This next one is all about rainbows and unicorns!!  Again I used the washi tape to mask out the different 'bands' of colour on my rainbow.  I cut the rainbow from Watercolour Paper using the Swirly Scribbles Thinlits as a guide.  The cloud DSP is from the Myths and Magic pack.  The unicorns are stamped on Shimmery White paper and coloured with Stampin Blends. The sentiment is from the Epic Celebrations stamp set and I coloured it using Stampin`Write Markers to get the two tone effect.

And finally this cute little treat box which was CASEd from Pootles UK. It uses a 6x6 piece of DSP with a bit of scoring and folding and then a hole punched through for the ribbon.  Easy peasy!  I used the washi tape to mask out the rainbow which is again created using my aquapainter and ink pads.  The unicorn is coloured with Stampin`Blends.
