I'm going to try to blog about one or two cards a week if I can. Especially if I've done some sort of technique that is worth explaining.
This card has a few things going on.
First, I've used So Saffron Stampin' Blends to colour in a selection of the white daffodils.
Second, rather than only embossing the card base, I also embossed the DSP. I love the weather look this adds to the imagery. I also wrapped it with some linen thread to add to that rustic, country feel.
I love the added interest this gives to the card overall as well as how it helps to "pop" the greeting off the busy background.
If you don't have this amazing Daffodil Afternoon DSP yet, you only have 12 more days to get your hands on it. It is one of the FREE goodies you can choose with a $60 order but only until Saleabration ends on February 28th!
And lastly, I layered a bunch of die cuts together to frame the sentiment. I did one large die cut from the DSP, and then two smaller ones.
