Coast to Coast Creators Blog Hop - 2024-2026 NEW In Colours

Fourteen of the month so you know what that means! It's team blog and Insta hop day! This month we are highlighting Stampin' Up!®'s NEW 2024-2026 In Colours!

I'll fully admit I was initially disappointed thinking they were too close to other colours we have had in the past BUT now that I have been creating with them I am in LOVE! The colours are fantastic on their own but what I love most is how ALL FIVE of them look so great together! And what about how they POP off of the black cardstock! Talk about a statement!

I CASEd this design straight out of the catalogue on the page 91. It was this idea of fussy cutting and floating the pieces from the Leaf Collection background stamp that made me purchase it as part of my preorder.

It's such a neat idea and a great way to get creative with this large stamp.

I ran the Petunia Pop card base through the So Swirly Embossing Folder for an extra bit of interest.

The greeting is from the super cute Attention Shoppers stamp set. And like the original, I had to showcase the amazing new Spotlight On Nature Dies. If you love a good circle die, these are a MUST for you!

I layered once die cut over another so that you would see a pop of the Petunia colour underneath the white.

I haven't decided which of the five new colours is my favourite so I'd sure love to hear which one is yours!

I can't wait to see what everyone else comes up with. Be sure to hop around and check them all out!

I coloured these images with my Stampin' Blends markers but I've seen beautiful versions with watercolour pencils as well or a combination of the two!

Coast to Coast Creators Blog Hop - Last Chance Items

Fourteen of the month so you know what that means! It's team blog and Insta hop day! This month we are highlighting some of our most loved items from either the Jan - April mini or the Annual Catalogue that are now on the last chance list.

I love how this card turned out and have to give props to @kaylareneestamps for this inspiration.

I am highlighting the Scalloped Contours Dies. These have been around for a couple of annual catalogues now but I am still sad to see them finally being retired. Great news though, they are currently discounted to $33.60. Sadly the stamp set they coordinate with has already sold out so I had to pivot on that part of my project. Instead I have paired them up with the Earthen Elegance Suite which is also on the last chance list. These are products I was super in love with and just didn't use enough so I'm super sad to see them go as well.

Except for the card base, and the two die cuts in Distressed Gold, every layer is DSP from the Earthen Elegance DSP (still available and discounted). You can bet I will be making several more of these with the DSP I have left! If you look closely, you can also see I used two of the large scallop dies (they nest within each other) as well as the smallest one which I stamped my sentiment within.

I love this colour combo for the earthenware and it's contents. I used Pretty Peacock, Distressed Gold and Berry Burst (full strength and stamped off). Both vessels, are die cut from the DSP with stamping on the Peacock one. I then used the Natural Wavy Trim to accent the vessel that has no stamping.

I used Pebbled Path to stamp the greeting (need to get this colour back in my rotation). I also really love the contrast from the rich DSP as a background for the circle diecut.

I can't wait to see what everyone else comes up with. Be sure to hop around and check them all out!

Coast to Coast Creators Blog Hop - Stampin' Up!'s Markers

Fourteen of the month so you know what that means! It's team blog and Insta hop day! This month we are highlighting either Stampin' Write Markers or Stampin' Blends Markers.

I chose to do an oldie but good technique with my Stampin' Write Markers and to also feature some of the NEW products available released March 5th in the Online Exclusives.

The trick here with the markers is to colour with them on one of your acrylic blocks, use your spritzer to get it wet and then "stamp" with the block on watercolour paper.

Once "stamped", you usually have to gently blot off a bit of the extra water and then I usually use my heat tool to dry the area.

After that, you can stamp all over it as you like!

For this design, I focused on the 2022-2024 In-Colours which are soon to retire.

Once dried, I die cut using my Deckled Rectangle Dies (cut twice with a wide die to get a narrow shape).

I then stamped in Versamark and used clear Embossing Powder to add a bit of shiny message to the strip.

I worked with the NEW bundle Happy Little Things as well as the NEW Fun Patterns embossing folders.  These are folders meant to fit in the mini cut and emboss machine but what I found, at least with the folder I used, you can overlap the pattern perfectly in order to emboss a larger piece of cardstock (and you don't even get a line down your page!)

To finish off the design, I stamped the outline stamp for the words in Starry Sky and then did the fill in versamark and white embossing powder.

I used one of the 2 dies included in the bundle to create the little banners which I think adds a super fun feel to the card.

And last but not least, the In Colour Pearls!
