Waterfall Gift Card Holder made using Stampin' Up!®️ products

A good friend saw something similar to this on Etsy and asked if I could make one.  So I sat down with a ruler, a gift card and some Pinterest videos and set to work!

NEW Hobby Haven and Whispers of Texture DSPs from Stampin' Up!®️

It has been TOO long since I did a crafting video so I went live on my Facebook page last night to create for a fun team challenge.

It was a great sketch that I was able to work in some techniques as well as new products.  Check it out below!

Here is the sketch.
You can see I stuck pretty true to form.

Coast to Coast Creators Blog Hop - 'Tis the Season!

Fourteen of the month so you know what that means! It's team blog and Insta hop day! We are featuring holiday cards!

I have been making a ton of cards but I actually sat down and created something new as I wanted to feature the Joyful Days Memories & More Card Pack. (Which I just am seeing now is currently sold out!)

I love these card packs and typically buy the holiday pack every year as well as the Assorted Memories & More Cards & envelopes. They allow you to quickly make 20 cards with additional supplies for more cards on normal cardstock bases.

Here's a look at what I started with to get my final design:

I love the end result so much I plan to make multiples of it now. But I also plan to make several other options so stay tuned to my social media sites to see the other cards I create.

You can see that I took my Everyday Arches Dies to cut out the tree image as well as a Cherry Cobbler layer to go behind. I had to get creative and shorten the shape but that's easy to do with a simple die.

I then fussy cut a second tree image so that I could layer that over top of this image popped up with dimensionals. I also took my Wink of Stella pen and added some glimmer to all of the red ornaments.

To finish this design off, I added more of my holiday favourites: Loose Gold Sequins, Mossy Meadow & Gold 1/4" Ribbon, and Greetings for You Mix & Match Ephemera Pack (also sadly sold out at the moment).

What do you think?  Would you be happy to place this card on your mantle?

I can't wait to see how the rest of the team chose to showcase from all the amazing options in the September - December mini Catty!

Be sure to hop around and check them all out!

Coast to Coast Creators Blog Hop - September to December Mini

Fourteen of the month so you know what that means! It's team blog and Insta hop day! We are playing with our favourites from the "holiday" mini!

Funny story - I had a card all ready and photographed to find out it's from the Online Exclusives and NOT the mini after all! Back to the drawing board & quickly!! And I am ever glad for my "mistake" as I am absolutely IN LOVE with the cards I came up with using the Christmas Tags & More 6"x 6" Mix & Match Specialty DSP with the Greetings for You Mix & Match Ephemera Pack (all on page 15)!

For this particular design, I used two different patterns of the DSP as well as 6 of the pop out die cuts. This card is also loosely based on a team sketch challenge so the jumping off points where the Everyday Arches Dies (DSP #1) and the poinsetta focal point.

I love the colours in these papers: Real Red, Cherry Cobbler, Garden Green, Soft Sea Foam & Crumb Cake. They are so fun to work with and easy to draw out one or two colours to highlight.

I wanted to add some texture to the background and I seem to be limited on Embossing Folders that are not retired so I went with the Pressed Flowers Embossing Folder (annual catalogue) turned on its side. I felt like it added the look of  an icy branch with frozen buds or berries on it feel to the card.

DSP #2 can be found in the 3 strips I added to the left hand side of the card. The sketch had a single strip running horizontally which I found didn't work with my design so I flipped it and cut it into 3 strips of slightly varying widths. I really like the effect it added.

I also rounded out the design with a smatter of the loose gold sequins (another must have for holiday cards from the annual catty)

The DSP is so amazing that the cards will almost make themselves; here are a couple of others that I quickly whipped up! Like literally 5 minutes each! You definitely want to add these products to your shopping list if you need a stack of cards this holiday season but are pressed for time.

Coast to Coast Creators Hop - Sketch Challenge

Fourteen of the month so you know what that means! It's team blog and Insta hop day! We are playing with this great sketch from our teammate Kisha.

I was pretty literal with the sketch, as you can see! I knew I wanted to work with the Florals in Bloom DSP and coordinating two tone cardstock and since I also have the Everyday Arches Dies, it really came together so quickly!

I wanted to use this particular pattern for the focal arch piece so went with a subtle coordinating pattern from the same pack for the bottom layer and then the lighter side of the Secret Sea two tone cardstock for the top. I used the darker side of the Secret Sea two tone for the strip across the middle.

I then layered the whole bit onto the lighter side of Timid Tiger two tone cardstock and mounted on a Timid Tiger card base. The sentiment is from the Beautiful Butterflies stamp set which I heat embossed in white on the darker side of the Timid Tiger two tone cardstock. I then finished it off a trio of Cloud Cover embellishments as well.

A little bit of stamping on the inside as well!

I used Peach Pie with Timid Tiger and then Cloud Cover with Secret Sea.

I can't wait to see how the rest of the team interpreted this sketch!  Be sure to hop around and check them all out!
