Every new catty brings the opportunity to participate in a team swap. It's a great way to get me working with new product but also to get card samples using new product that I might not be planning to purchase but would still want to showcase to my customers.
This time around I chose to work with the Artfully Composed Suite as it seemed very few were mentioning it and I hoped I would be giving them a useful swap for their business.
I LOVE how this card turned out! The idea of layering the ribbon over some DSP was pulled from a sample in the catalogue and then I just went from there! I liked the idea of a mostly tone on tone card and love the impact all the black with just a few pops of colour makes.
Don't get me wrong, the DSP in this suite is Ah-mazing but I thought it was fun to showcase some other aspects. In addition to this strip of the coral DSP, which I used the two small texture dies on, I also popped a bolder tease of the DSP inside the card. (see below)
You'll also notice I used one of the background stamps in the set, with Versamark ink & black embossing powder, to add some texture and visual interest in several spots on the card.
I featured 3 of the large dies in either black or Just Jade, as well as the Faux Sea Glass Shapes in Just Jade. I also featured a strip of the White 3/4" Frayed Ribbon. You will want this ribbon, it is great to work with!
The greeting was stamped in Versamark Ink and heat embossed with White embossing powder. I chose one of the fabulous dies from the NEW Beautiful Shapes Dies.
