I'm super excited to be participating in this amazing blog hop for the third month straight and hope you love my project as much as I do! I finally found some time to take a break from Christmas themed crafting and to create with two of the sets I came home from OnStage with! I am over the moon with the end result and even more excited that it also qualifies for Stampin' Up!'s® December Simple Stamping Challenge.
I stamped this image both multiple times and in many orientations (vertical, sideways, upside down).
I chose to use Basic Gray ink for a softer look to my line images.
To stamp this image multiple times, you can do one of two things: You can stamp the large image on a scrap of paper and then fussy cut it. This will now act as a mask for you to lay over stamped images on the card front to avoid any overlapping and allowing you to stamp your entire image each time.
OR you can do like I did for this card as I was too lazy to make a mask and had my simply shammy handy.
I stamped the large image on the card front and then for each subsequent part of the image, I stamped up my stamp and then shammy'd off the ink on any part of the image I didn't want. It ended up working out perfectly! In addition to the large image from the set, I also used both of the smaller single flower images to fill in any gaps I wasn't happy with.
Of course this card front would not be complete without colouring in these beautiful line images. I chose four colour families of Stampin' Blends to use: Flirty Flamingo, Rococo Rose, Petal Pink and Old Olive. I also used the Color Lifter as I found the Rococo Rose (both the light and dark) to be too pigment rich for my liking with this colour scheme.
The sentiment for this card came from the Peaceful Moments stamp set. It was stamped in Old Olive. It promises to be one of my new favourites and a set I'm sure you will want to add to your collection. It has lots of great sentiments for many occasions all using a really beautiful font. It too can be purchased as a bundle with coordinating dies and is also part of a larger suite (Peaceful Poppies) of products.
