Colour Challege with Hand Stamped Sentiments

When I am in need of a creative inspiration, I often check out all the creative challenges that are being offered at the time.  Today I turned to a fun colour challenge from the Hand Stamped Sentiments site. (https://handstampedsentiments.blogspot.com/)

Pecan Pie, Pretty Peacock and Summer Splash is the challenge. I'm going to admit, these are probably not 3 colours I would put togther on my own but WOW, do they ever look amazing together!

I started by grabbing some cardstock in each colour and then looked to all the products I have that are currently on the Last Chance List. I went with the Country Flowers Bundle, the 2024-2026 In Colour DSP pack, and the Distressed Tile 3D Embossing Folder. I completed the look with the Pecan Pie & Clear Ribboned Adhesive-Backed Dots and a piece of the Country Woods DSP (which is thankfully carried into the next annual catty.)

I love how I got a sort of patina feel to the flower vessel using my Pretty Peacock Blends. This is where I started and then added the other colours in from there. Pecan Pie for the little stool was an easy choice.  I added a bit of Soft Sea Foam into my Summer Splash foliage to create a bit of depth and visual interest.  I also added in some Petal Pink along with Basic White for my floral accents.  I think the 5 colours work really well together.

I was late to the party purchasing the Distressed Tile Embossing Folder but ever since I have owned it I have used it a lot so it was be sadly missed by me. I also used the Timber Folder on the stool which is also on Last Chance. I have been known to keep a few well loved EFs in my stock regardless of whether they are current or not as some looks just can't be created without them!
