Fourteen of the month so you know what that means! It's team blog and Insta hop day! This month we are celebrating all things festive for the season. I've decided to showcase this design from my upcoming Stamp A Stack using the Christmas Classics Bundle.
I took a slightly different approach with this card and instead of using one of the large focal die cuts (which would have led to less overall die-cutting for making multiples - lesson learned, lol), I chose to showcase 3 die cuts and one stamped image (with a coordinating die). This is all on a layer of cardstock embossed with the Timeworn Type embossing folder.
I die cut doubles of both the holly leaves and the oval sprigs and then rounded that imagery out with stamping the greenery spray but using Wild Wheat instead of a traditional greenery colour. I carried over the gold tone of the Wild Wheat by using it for the greeting as well as adding a background Nested Essentials Die in the Distressed Gold Specialty DSP.
The final look was rounded out with two strips of the Real Red & Gold 3/8" Dotted ribbon and 5 of the Pastel Adhesive Backed Sequins in gold. It was one of the more popular designs chosen for the class so I think the overall look was a success. After prepping 18 of these, I'm sad I likely won't feel inclined to make any more for my own holiday card stash, lol!
Here are some other designs I have made with this bundle. It's so versatile, I encourage you to pick it up before it's gone!
I can't wait to see what everyone else comes up with. Be sure to hop around and check them all out!
Drop a comment, I'd love to know what you think.
