Kylie's Demonstrator Training Monthly Blog Hop (September 2020) - Ornamental Envelopes Bundle

I can't believe it has been a year of Blog Hop posts already!!  I have so LOVED being a part of these hops and seeing all of the A.MAZE.ING projects that everyone creates!

For this last hop I thought I'd finally break open my Ornament Envelopes Bundle.  I bought this bundle primarily for the dies that can easily fancy up any envelope but this stamp set is not too shabby either!

This card started with three ideas: use the large ornament stamp, heat emboss and a watercolour smoosh background.

So..... taking a piece of Watercolour Paper (cut at 4 x 5.25"), I stamped the large ornaments down one side using Versamark Ink.  I then heat embossed with gold embossing powder.

Next, I found one of my clear blocks that was the length of the paper and slightly wider than the ornaments (not a SU block unfortunately).  To get the watercolour background, use your Stampin' Write Markers to colour the entire surface of the block (I used Just Jade, Shaded Spruce and Granny Apple Green). Once the block is covered, spritz it with water and then use this to 'stamp' your paper.  The result with be different every time.  I was really happy with how this one turned out.

I added a bow using the Vanilla Ribbon from the Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack.  To achieve this look, I tied a bow in the centre of a length of ribbon and then draped the ends loosely across the image and then adhered them behind the piece of Watercolour paper.

After that it was time for a greeting, a card base and some sort of bling!  I went with Just Jade for both my cardstock layers and my greeting ink colour. The greet
ing is from the Itty Bitty Christmas stamp set. Instead of sticking to standard embellishments (in this case I used the Gold Glitter Enamel Dots), I used the smallest ornament stamp and die cut (embossed on the same watercolour background) as if they were embellishments and scattered them on my card front.
Of course, I also had to make a liner for the envelope so I used a piece of my Toile Tidings DSP in Garden Green. I don't have much of this paper left so it's a perfect place for me to use it.

Check out this quick video which shows you how to use your markers on a block to create this fun background.

Thanks so much for visiting my blog. Be sure to 'hop' to as many of the others as you can!

You will be so inspired by all the amazing designs!
