Team Creative Challenge - One sketch, two catalogues!

Twice a month, the larger team I am part of has a creative challenge.  December's challenge was a way to inspire our team to use both upcoming (live as of today) and current (think annual catalogue) products.  To make it easier, we had to use the same sketch for both cards.

I started this challenge by focussing on the card featuring new products. I chose to highlight the AMAZING Lily Impressions DSP which is FREE with any $60 purchase until March 31st.  This paper was 100% the first thing I wanted as a Sale-a-bration (SAB) reward.

Actually, this card also focuses two more SAB rewards - the Lovely Lily Pad reversibles stamp set AND the Lily Pad Dies.  If you're doing the math, you can tell that I spent a fair bit to earn all these items! LOL!

The other items highlighted in this design make up the So Sentimental Bundle which includes this beautiful sentiment as well as the stitched die shape it is stamped on.

This is my first set of reversible stamps and they are SO COOL!  One side is smooth, giving you the background shape/colour while the other side of the same stamp, provides the details.  For this particular card, I only used the one side of the flower stamp as I chose to stamp directly on the DSP for my background colour.  I did use both sides of the lily pad stamp though, stamping in Soft Sea Foam and Mint Macaron. The flower is stamped in Melon Mambo.

I used Thick Whisper White for my card base and layered the DSP with Gorgeous Grape. The embellishments are also Gorgeous Grape from the Noble Peacock Rhinestones.

When it came time to find a stamp set and DSP to use for my annual catty version of this layout, I felt a bit limited as I needed to find a large image similar to the lily and lilypad.

I couldn't find a stamped image that I loved so instead I chose to fussy cut these birds and branch from the Bird Ballad DSP.  As a result of using these colourful, and detailed birds, I felt like the background DSP had to be pretty subtle.  Again, the Bird Ballad DSP to the rescue.

Both the sentiment and flowers seen stamped on the Stitched Nested Labels Dies are from the Free As A Bird stamp set.

I really haven't used this suite of products nearly enough so I was surprised at how much I loved the end result! LOL, guess I better start using it more often!

Again I used a Thick Whisper White card base with a cardstock layer of Calypso Coral.  I stamped the sentiment in Coral as well and used Pool Party (stamped off) for the stamped floral images.

The rhinestones on this card are in Coastal Cabana from the holiday catalogue.  Thankfully they have carried over! Although.... you can colour the basic rhinestones (and pearls) with any shade of your Stampin' Blends markers.

Thanks for stopping by.  Hope you enjoyed hearing about these projects as much as I enjoyed making them!
